The Marilyn painting is an interpretation of the deterioration of the hopes and dreams for which Hollywood stands. To me, Marilyn is the epitome of this quest for fame, riches, and happiness, which ultimately led her to her tragic and ever so lonely end. The mosaic stones represent the disease of Hollywood that she inhales; at the end of the spiral we see a red stone, which represents a tear of blood falling from her eye. The words are inspired by my personal aspirations, my personal struggles, and my longing to succeed.
